New Board / Re: Runner for 2022 Looking for Team
« Last post by hanserikn@yahoo.com on May 17, 2022, 04:23:43 pm »
Hi,

Team AwesomeSauce [...Wild and Scenic Miletastic Runagades] is looking for an experienced runner for van 1.  Our co-ed team (AWSMR for short) has run the relay since 2014; our runners have spanned a few HS and College cross country runners, to one or two 50+, and all levels of experience, but most of the core of the team is in their 40s and are ex-marathoners, triathletes, and adventure racers. Our runners’ paces have spanned sub 6:30s to 12 min/mile, and overall we finish in about 31.5-33 hours. We know everyone on the team is there to run as fast and hard as they can and still have fun; we give everyone on the team as much support as we can, regardless of pace.

Most of our runners like to run and cheer in costume; that covers anything from just fun gear to full superhero digs. We have a house near the beach rented for race weekend (showers and breakfast before the last legs are a good thing) and enjoy recovering from the race with good food, drink, and some recovery time in the hottub.

Let me know if your interested in joining up (and haven't been snatched up by another team).  Most of the team is based in the Ashland area, and we meet up on Thursday evening before the race decorate the vans, etc.

Happy running,
Hans

New Board / Team Two Pines Trail Runners is still looking for 2 runners!

Hello!

We are a co-ed noncompetitve team! Due to some injuries we have lost a couple of runners, and so still on the look out for new teammates. Most of our team is from the Portland / Salem area.  We are supportive and welcoming to all runners.

We are really looking for some runners who just want to have a good time, support other runners, and to make some hopefully long lasting friendships. One of our vans will be returning back to the Salem/ Portland area Saturday after the race, the other will be staying in the Gold Beach area to chill and enjoy the beach vibes before returning home Sunday.

Hi Runners!

We're seeking two runners for the race; given the current situation, we're asking all of our team be currently vaccinated for COVID.

Here’s the lowdown on our team: Our co-ed team (AWSMR for short) has run the relay since 2014; our runners have spanned a few HS and College cross country runners, to one or two 50+, and all levels of experience, but most of the core of the team is in their 40s and are ex-marathoners, triathletes, and adventure racers.  Our runners’ paces have spanned sub 6:30s to 12 min/mile, and overall we finish in about 31.5-34 hours.  We know everyone on the team is there to run as fast and hard as they can and still have a lot of fun; we give everyone on the team as much support as we can.

Most of our runners like to run and cheer in costume; that covers anything from just fun gear to full superhero digs.  We have a house near the beach rented for race weekend and enjoy recovering from the race with good food, drink, and some time in the hottub.

If our team sounds like the kind of team you'd like to run with, drop me a line at hanserikn@yahoo.com.

Thanks,

Hans

Team co-captain.

Hi! I am a team captain seeking two runners for runner 9 and runner 12 spots. We are on the slow side and are just in this for the fun of relays. Currently in our van are 3 women and 1 man. We are traveling down from the Portland metro area and staying in Medford Thursday evening and staying in Brookings Saturday returning to Portland on Sunday. Thanks!

New Board / Runner looking for a team
« Last post by Kevin on August 16, 2021, 08:29:03 am »
Hi all! I'm a decent runner and a great van rider. Done the relay before and enjoyed every second of it.
I'm a 7:30ish runner and don't mind tough or easy legs.
Thanks

New Board / Runner Seeks WRR Team
« Last post by eretzlaff on August 03, 2021, 02:04:15 pm »
Greetings!  Just finished running the Cascade Lakes Relay and now want to give the Wild Rogue a go.  I'm not in it to win it, but I am in it to finish and have a damn good time while I run.  I love costumes, heckling, cheering, dancing, and all other types of relay shenanigans.  Currently running 9:30-10:00 minute miles depending on the number of hills.  If  you need someone to round out your team, please text/call 801-903-8071 or email at elysiaretz@gmail.com.  Cheers!  ~Elysia
